Recorder/Treasurer

IMG_0277_edited.jpg

My Name is Peggy Sellars. I have been the City of Keiser’s Recorder/Treasurer since 2019. My husband Jerry and I are the parents of Terri, Tammy, and Kevin. We have seven grandchildren and are expecting our first great-grandchild any day now.

Jerry and I have been a part of the Keiser community our entire lives. Our children and our grandchildren are products of this community. I am of an age that I can remember the Keiser of days gone by. Sadly, a lot of that in the way of businesses and our school have not lasted through the passing years. However, what remains is what was, and still is, what makes Keiser a great place to live. It’s the people. They are the glue that holds it all together.

Being the realist that I am, I know that some of the “stuff” of the Keiser of my younger days cannot be recreated. But, the idealist side of me sees a rebirth that may be different, but, in its own way, maybe better. I envision a tightly-knit community of friends working together. I envision a financial prosperity in which all the needs of our city and its citizens are met and in which we can pay our employees top wages. I envision new businesses opening up shop in our city.

I am happy to say that under the leadership of our visionary Mayor and our dedicated city employees, I can already see it all falling into place.

KEEP YOUR EYES UPON KEISER. GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING.
